my 1st and 2nd-grade teacher. She said:
Read everything you see.
Read the sides of trains.
Read street signs when you’re riding in the car.
Read everything!
As I grew, I never forgot her advice.
As a student, I read the chalkboard, the whiteboard, and everything hanging on the walls. I read them every day and in every class. To this day, I still read the side of trains as they go by.’
